Courtney Kupets Injured -- Has Surgery

Wednesday March 5, 2008
Such sad news for the University of Georgia women's team. Their star, junior Courtney Kupets, tore her Achilles tendon at their most recent competition against the University of Arkansas.

Kupets has won the all-around at NCAAs the two years she's competed collegiately, and Georgia was counting on her to help them win the NCAA team title this year. Many were also speculating on whether Kupets would try to qualify to the Beijing Olympic team after the NCAA season. Heal quickly Courtney!

Oh NO! Poor Courtney. She was doing so well and is such a joy to watch. I wish her a speedy recovery. The GymDogs have a very talented team - but she will be a tough person to replace in the line up.
