The 10 Best Sticks in the Last 10 Years

One of the most basic rules of gymnastics is this: When your feet hit the ground on a dismount, vault or tumbling pass, don’t let them move.

A “stuck landing” often means the difference between the gold medal or not, and can cap off a great routine with the perfect exclamation point.

There have been many incredible sticks throughout the years. Here are my picks for the best ones in the last decade.

WOW - those are great. I loved watching them all again and remembering these wonderful performances. I was there to see Tweddle’s bars. I wanted Nastia to win, but Beth’s performance was terrific and there was no way not to admire her landing and to enjoy her “thrill of victory.”

Mo Huilan’s DTY. she stuck it in the AA in Atlanta & at other meets. Beautiful vault!
