Sasha Artemev had the highest day one total at the men's Olympic Trials tonight (90.65). Just behind was Jonathan Horton (90.55), Raj Bhavsar (90.5) and Joe Hagerty (90.35).

Also notable was Justin Spring, who had the best event total after five apparatus but did not compete pommel horse, and Kevin Tan, who scored 16.55 on rings -- the highest mark of the night on any event.

Morgan Hamm (twin brother of Olympic champion Paul Hamm) crunched his ankles on floor, but had the second best score on pommel horse (14.90).

In the weighted standings that are used for Olympic selection (combining the results from Trials and Nationals), Jonathan Horton is in first (63.255), Hagerty second (63.165), Artemev third (62.825) and Bhavsar fourth (62.800).

The men will compete again on Saturday, and the Olympic team will be named on Sunday.

The women start their first day of competition Friday at 7 p.m. ET. It will air on NBC at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
