Wednesday July 2, 2008
Erin Blanchard and Chris Estrada have been named as the two US trampoline qualifiers to the Olympics. Each finished first based on their scores accumulated in four Olympic qualifying competitions. Blanchard, the runner-up to Alaina Hebert at this year's Nationals, was leading going into the final competition, while four-time National Champion Estrada was in third. Estrada pulled ahead with a strong performance at the final qualifier (102.50; for first place).

This is the first time that the US has qualified both a male and a female to compete in Beijing. Hebert and Logan Dooley are the alternates, and national team coordinator Dmitri Poliaroush is the head coach.
