Poll of the Week: Which is the Most Difficult Event?

By October 6, 2008

Follow me on:

In a poll at the bottom of the women's artistic gymnastics article, we've seen that 32% of you name floor as your favorite event in women's gymnastics. But which would you pick as the most difficult to do?

My vote was for bars, because it seems to be the hardest event for a gymnast to pick up if she isn't already naturally good at it. Why did you vote the way you did?

I said vault because it takes so much natural power. If you don’t have it, you’re in trouble!

I agree, Vault is the most difficult! It takes speed and power. I think beam is one of the easiest, because you do all the skills on the floor, before you do it one beam. So, you can already complete the skill, but you just have to make sure you go straight! :D

Bars is the hardest, I thnk. So much upper body strength, and you have to be a natural. Look at Shawn Johsnon. She can do almost anything in gymnastics, but she is by far the weakest on bars.

I voted bars because the other 3 are somewhat related, and can be somewhat bent to someone’s natural abilities, but bars you’re stuck with swinging no matter what your preferences are!

I picked beam because it’s harder to stay on because it’s only 4, inches wide. If you fall it’s half a point mabye a whole point. i am,12,and a level 9, gymnast so I know what it’s like.
