Chinese gymnasts won seven out of a possible 10 event titles at the 2008 DTB Cup in Stuttgart, Germany. The women, led by three-time World Vault Champion Cheng Fei, took all four apparatus golds: Cheng won vault, beam, and floor, and countrywoman He Ning grabbed the bars title.

The Chinese men took half of the men's events as well. Zhang Hongtao earned gold on pommels, while Yan Mingyong tied with Yuri van Gelder (Holland) for first on rings, and Feng Zhe won parallel bars. Germany's Fabian Hambuechen picked up the floor and high bar titles in front of his hometown crowd, and Thomas Bouhail bested his 2008 Olympic silver medal with a gold on vault here.

The DTB cup concluded with a men's all-around competition called the Champion's Trophy. Russia's Maxim Devyatovsky won the event, while Hisashi Mizutori (Japan) took silver and Hambuechen earned bronze.
