2008 US Junior National Champ Jordyn Wieber easily took the all-around at the 2008 Top Gym in Charleroi, Belgium, scoring a 59.80. She also won bars and beam during the individual event finals. Yvette Moshage of the Netherlands earned the all-around silver with a 55.90, while US teammate Kamerin Moore finished third (55.15). Moore took the vault gold, and Romanian Larisa Iordache won floor.
Though scoring isn't consistent from meet to meet, a 59.80 is a very impressive all-around score -- it would have placed Wieber 10th in this year's Olympic all-around final.
This competition is a great place for juniors to get international experience, and, just three years ago, it was the international debut of 2008 All-Around Silver Medalist Shawn Johnson. She won the all-around, floor, and vault.
