I just came across this great video of the UCLA team's practice on Gymnastike.org. NCAAs are next weekend for both men and women, and though the UCLA women are ranked #7 going in, they're one of my favorite teams right now.

With Canadian stars Elyse Hopfner-Hibbs, Aisha Gerber, and Marci Bernholtz, as well as Ariana Berlin and Vanessa Zamarripa, the team has a great mix of style, power, and personality. Throw in Anna Li's amazing bar routine, and UCLA has an impressive line-up that could challenge the top-ranked teams (Georgia #1, Utah #2, Alabama #3) if the gymnasts hit cold.

Check out their unique warm-up (at about :45)!

Neat! That warmup is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen! There conditioning was weird, too! But in a good way :) .

Why is there not more gymnastics on TV? Or am I missing something? I am tired of watching basketball. Time for more gymnastics to watch. Or can someone help me find woemens gymnatics TV schedules?

Hi Geri,
I agree — I wish there was more gymnastics on TV too. Sometimes NCAA meets are on ESPN, and I try to put up a TV Alert on the site whenever I see it listed. Women’s NCAAs will air on CBS on May 9 at 2pm ET — so at least something is coming up!
