Great Britain's Beth Tweddle won bars and floor (the same two events she won at Europeans) at the Glasgow Grand Prix held this weekend. Yekaterina Kurbatova (Russia) won vault, while Sanne Wevers (Netherlands) and Ana Maria Izurieta (Spain) tied for the beam gold. In the men's competition, Diego Hypolito (Brazil) earned the floor and vault titles, Louis Smith (Great Britain) the pommel horse, Yuri van Gelder (Netherlands) the rings, Kim Jin Hyok (North Korea) the parallel bars, and Epke Zonderland (Netherlands) the high bar. Weaver’s beam: nice to see someone who turns. I just wish they were a little cleaner and she had better acro balance.

And who does a double arabian straight? WOW.

I think the Glasgow Grand Prix is getting more and more popular every year now and it can only be a good thing for Glasgow! We could be doing with a couple more competitors from our region for the commonwealth games coming up.
