Romanian gymnast Larisa Iordache just turned 15, so she won't be eligible for this year's worlds. She will be eligible for the 2012 Olympics though, and is definitely one to keep your eye on.
She won the floor gold, silver on beam, and bronze in the all-around at the 2010 Junior Europeans, and most recently, she dominated the Gym-Festival of Trnava, winning gold in the all-around, bars, beam, and floor, and scoring an impressive 59.50 all-around. (For comparison -- though score comparisons are always tricky -- this total would have placed her third all-around at last year's worlds).
Among her many skills, she throws a back full on beam, and actually completes her triple twist dismount -- a feat that most gymnasts aren't able to do. She also does a nice whip to triple full on floor.
She told former Olympian Andreea Raducan in an interview, "I'm ambitious, strong and I get what I want." Girl's got some spunk, too!
