You may have heard about a level 9 gymnast from Washington, Jacoby Miles, who suffered a severe neck injury on Friday doing a dismount off of uneven bars.
She's been on my mind all day, as I can only begin to imagine the heartache she and her family, coaches, and friends are feeling right now. She's a fighter, though: There are reports that she has regained some feeling in her arms, and her condition is being updated on a blog at getwelljacoby.blogspot.com.
A fundraising site has been set up as well, to help Jacoby and her family with the costs of her medical needs, both now and in the future. As we all know, even a small amount from many people can make a huge difference.
