Gienger

Definition: A Gienger is a difficult release move named after Eberhard Gienger of Germany. In a Gienger, the gymnast swings upwards and performs a flyaway (back flip) half turn before catching the bar again. A Gienger is performed on the high bar and uneven bars, and is usually done in a pike or layout position.
