Olympic Medalist Predictions: Gymnastics 2012

GOLD Gabrielle Douglas, USA
SILVER Viktoria Komova, Russia
BRONZE Larisa Iordache, Romania

All three of these gymnasts are fantastic, but I give Douglas the edge, now that 2011 world all-around champion Jordyn Wieber failed to qualify for the all-around. Douglas is the most exciting performer of the field and brings a power and lightness to all of her gymnastics that's truly world class, while Komova does some very interesting skills and has beautiful lines and form as well. Iordache has been struggling with a foot injury but is usually consistent, and is one of the best floor and beam workers in the world.
