Bardstown Gymnastics: Bardstown
- We have been at Bardstown since my little girl was 5 years old. She is now 10. She began as a level 4, and is now currently a level 7. They are excellent coaches with great talent. They love and encourage the children to do their best without overdoing it. My daughter has just started going to gym 4 days a week, and only for 3 hours a day. She does not have the same long hours as other gyms and she still does great at all her meets. You don't have to train 20 hours a week to be a level 7. I believe that is why kids get burned out and don't enjoy the sport if it becomes the only thing they do. They are only young once. So this is why I love Bardstown: They are great coaches, with the kids best interest at heart. http://www.fitkidssportscenter.com/gymnastics.htm

Five Star Gymnastics: Erlanger
- My daughter takes a recreational class here, and we've been very pleased. The thing about Five Star is that, if you're looking for state-of-the-art facilities and extensive amounts of training equipment, you're not going to find it here. It's a small space, comparatively. And there is a major focus on cheerleading, though they do have artistic competitive teams. However, if you're looking for a reasonably priced facility for your child to enjoy an hour or two a week of hands-on, caring gymnastics, with lots of attention and small classes, this is perfect. My daughter is involved because she has so much fun. If she ever wants to become more serious, we would consider a gym change. But for our purposes - exercise and a positive, fun activity - Five Star is everything we need. Their parent viewing area is great, and they also have a pro shop. http://www.fivestar-gymnastics.com/

Five Star Gymnastics (Review #2)
- Our daughter began taking a rec class once a week at Five Star in September of this year. It's been great -- she's getting exercise, she's spending time with kids who are genuinely sweet and good-natured, and the coaches are patient and capable. I agree with another review that says there is a lot of focus on cheerleading, but from what I've seen, Five Star does a nice job of balancing it. They have a wall of stars boasting state and national champion athletes who competed in their gymnastics program. Our daughter is having a blast, and we love watching her growth as a tiny gymnast in a parent-friendly environment.
