Tell us about the gyms you've worked at or attended in New York. All reviews can be anonymous, but be sure to include as much info as you can to help others decide if the gym is right for them:
- Whether you're a gymnast, coach, or parent, and what level you are (e.g. Parent of a level 5 gymnast)
- What you like and don't like about the gym. Talk about equipment, coaching, costs, and anything else you'd like here.
- Would you recommend the gym?
Put the name of the gym in your response title -- gyms will be sorted alphabetically -- and only review one gym per post. If you'd like to review more, submit them separately. Review a Gym

Brooklyn Gymnastics Center: Brooklyn, NY
- I go to Brooklyn Gymnastics Center and the teacher is great. He teaches you what you need to know and exactly how to do it. Gymnastics rocks! http://brooklyngymnastics.com/

Chelsea Piers: New York, NY
- I did the adult gymnastics class at Chelsea Piers. The equipment is great: There are loose foam pits from the high bar, bars, and floor, and resi pits and a tumble track. There's also a rock-climbing wall. The floor is very hard, but all of the other equipment feels great. The only major "con" I have is that the price is very steep: $28 for one class! http://www.chelseapiers.com/fhGym.htm

Lana's Gymnastics Club: Flushing, NY
- My daughter took gymnastics at Lana's. I was very disappointed by the rudeness and disrespectful attitude toward the parents and the children. http://lgclubny.com/index.html

Lanas Gymnastics: Flushing, NY
- I had a horrible experience with bullying and when I spoke with the owner he was rude, disrespectful and nasty. I would never send my son back. The owner refused to refund my money. One day when we had over 100 degree weather my son was put in time out with his group for 20 min, with no water, under the sun. He came home pretty upset and sunburned. Don't put your children through this nightmare. http://www.lgclubny.com/

Lanas Gymnastics: Flushing, NY
- I strongly disagree with previous reviews. I have two daughters (oldest now 20 years old and youngest 7) who attended Lanas Gymnastics over the years and can tell you that I never experienced any rudeness from staff members. We actually have a few gymnastics clubs around and I can tell you that Lanas Gymnastics is considered to be one of the best in Queens. You will be able to see it with your own eyes how your child is developing and learning far more advanced exercises compared to other clubs. This is an olden days gymnastic school (European style). Thank you Lanas Gymnastics for being there for our kids.

Parry's Gymnastics: Syracuse, NY
- Their focus is on the health and progress of each individual child. As a parent I appreciate the gym's approach to safety and student enjoyment. http://www.parrysgymnastics.com/

Rochester Gymnastics Academy
- This club is very strict and somewhat rude but their competitive teams are really successful. Gymnast are constantly yelled at, and parents are somewhat disrespected. The class recreational stuff is pretty good though. http://www.rochesterga.com/

Nina's Gymnastics Center: Maspeth, NY
- For a small gym they have a hugely successful program. Three Regional AA Champions, and one National AA Champion for Level 9 in 2009. The coaching is strong with outstanding technique and artistry. If you are in the city and want to train competitive gymnastics, this is the place to train-though they have had previous team members who have traveled great distances just to train here as well! http://www.ninasgymnastics.org/

World Cup: Chappaqua, NY
- I was on the boys competitive team at World Cup. It's the dominant gym in the state for boys, and has a strong girls program as well. Both Carl and Jason are great coaches and the facilities are top notch. Great gym for both competitive and recreational gym opportunities. http://www.worldcupgymnastics.com/
