Cool Trick: The Ono on Uneven Bars

If someone asked you to do a full-twisting spin on a bar eight feet up in the air, would you do it? How about if it was on only one arm, while the other arm came down by your side? That’s the Ono.

The skill is named after Takashi Ono of Japan, and has been performed by some of the best bar workers in the world: Nastia Liukin, Hollie Vise, and Beth Tweddle, to name a few.

Liukin performs an immediate half pirouette after, then goes right into a Gienger release move. Now that’s impressive.
