Shawn Johnson won her second consecutive all-around title today at the 2008 senior women's nationals. Johnson hit all four events easily, but interestingly, was outscored on day two results alone by Nastia Liukin (64.05 for Johnson, 64.20 for Liukin; their two-day totals were 127.50 for Johnson, 126.50 for Liukin). Liukin again excelled on the uneven bars (17.10) and nailed the floor routine that caused her trouble on day one.
The top 12 all-arounders from this meet advance to the Olympic Trials in Philadelphia June 19-22: Shawn Johnson, Nastia Liukin, Chellsie Memmel, Samantha Peszek, Ivana Hong, Jana Bieger, Mattie Larson, Corrie Lothrop, Randy Stageberg, Mackenzie Caquatto, Olivia Courtney, and Alaina Johnson.

I expected Shawn to win, but I was so glad Nastia did so well too. And I was impressed with Chellsie too!
I was most impressed with this girl they only showed once on TV — Mattie Larson. She is really good on floor.
