Twelve-year-old Jordyn Wieber won the all-around, vault, and floor at the 2008 US junior nationals. After leading the first day by only a tenth of a point over Samantha Shapiro, Wieber hit four solid sets to become national champ.

Shapiro won the gold on bars and beam and took silver in the all-around. If she hadn't fallen on her first pass on floor (an Arabian double front), she would have challenged Wieber more closely for the title.

The top five in the junior all-around:
1. Jordyn Wieber 120.60
2. Samantha Shapiro 119.05
3. Cassie Whitcomb 114.60
4. Asi Peko 114.35
5. Amanda Jetter 113.95
