Olympic all-around champ Gabrielle Douglas was on Oprah's Next Chapter on Sunday night in the latest of many appearances for her and the Fierce Five.

Douglas says on the show that she still prefers "Gabrielle" over "Gabby" (and her family actually calls her "Brie"), talks about racist remarks made to her by former teammates, and addresses the comments made about her hair. (Finally someone makes the point that she was wearing her hair just like the majority of the other girls on the team -- go Oprah!)

Honestly, I think Oprah did Gabby a big disservice my asking her for specific incidents of racism in her gym. Excalibur is coming out of the woodworks complaining about it. I don’t soubt that the incidents happen, but why bring them up now?

Excalibur is completely classless. Instead of supporting Gabby in her achievements they are calling her a liar. It is sad. How can they say it never happened? gabby didn’t say the gym was racist or the town was racist. She said some teammates made some racist remarks, at some point. Exclaibur responded in a horrible way, imo.
